The DMC-12 DeLorean, often referred to as simply the DeLorean, was a car produced by the DeLorean Motor Company in the early 1980s. Despite its stylish design, the DMC-12 was a commercial failure due to very poor build quality, bankrupting the DeLorean Motor Company a few years after launch.
The car is best known for its appearances in the Back To The Future franchise, where a DeLorean was converted into a time machine by local scientist Doc Brown, much to the incredulity of the protagonist, Marty McFly. In the franchise, the car must reach a speed of 88 miles per hour in order to achieve time travel, a speed which is considered unrealistic for the DMC-12 due to the aeformentioned build quality.
In M.U.G.E.N, the DeLorean has been made by TripleM, and is based on its Back To The Future appearances.
