Like all of chuchoryu's Nintendo characters, chuchoryu's Little Mac features custom sprites, but his animations are quite stiff. All of the six buttons he uses activate punches, including the kick buttons. Contrary to what one would expect, this Little Mac is a lot more mobile in the air than in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS & Wii U, and his aerial attacks are just as strong as his standing and crouching attacks.
Little Mac is a six-button character. Even though he is referred to as a Capcom vs. SNK style character by the creator, his gameplay isn't based on Capcom vs. SNK at all. However, he uses the effects and hitsparks from said game. As one would expect, his moveset consists solely of punches, with no kicks. Any buttons that would activate kicks activate punches instead.
His comboability and damage output is fairly high. He is able to chain weaker Normals into stronger Normals and chain Normals into Specials or Hypers. However, the fact that most of his attacks push Little Mac back when they hit limits his comboability. His main weakness is the fact that it lacks projectiles. This means he must be close to the opponent to be able to hit it. Unlike in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS & Wii U, where Little Mac is known for having a very poor air game, he is able to jump as high as Kung Fu Man and has an Air Jump. However, its comboability in the air is significantly more limited, being able to only hit once before landing in most cases.
With only five Specials and two Hypers, his moveset is a bit limited. However, his Specials and Hypers are quite damaging. His Hypers are also very hard to interrupt. He lacks throws and his attacks deal either little or no chip damage, meaning he has a disadvantage against defensive opponents. This character's hitboxes are slightly larger than they should be, covering almost the entire sprite.
He has a custom A.I. that is of moderate difficulty. It often moves toward the player and attacks and can perform mediocre combos, but it often whiffs its attacks while the opponent is knocked down. It also jumps around often. His high damage output can give it an advantage.
