Supermystery's version of Charlie is based primarily off X-Men vs. Street Fighter. It comes with heavy combo ability and an advanced A.I, but it can also enter battle as The Shadow with the help of the Start button.

Gameplay[]

Based off Charlie's appearance in X-Men vs. Street Fighter, this version uses six buttons. It seems to contain most moves from the source game, but as an added bonus, palettes 9-12 are based off The Shadow from the game's sequel, Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter. This mode grants Charlie a higher Attack Stat, as well as an extra Hyper.

Much like the source game, Charlie is combo-heavy, but according to the readme, is even more so than the source, due to the author's preference. It is seeming standard of a charge character, but like Kurai Naito's version of Guile, it also has separate commands that allow a Down, Down-Right, Right or Right, Down, Down-Right motion to be used to activate its Specials.

Charlie's A.I is custom. That being said, it is quite brutal, similar to the author's other characters. It will relentlessly combo away its opponent's health, providing little to no time to counter-attack.
