This version of the Robot Master was especially made for two M.U.G.E.N projects. He disposes of a great agility and ability to quickly chain together attacks, both projectiles and non-projectile attacks alike, like his flip kicks, making him overall well-adapted to any situation. He sports on top of that a Marvel vs. Capcom gameplay style, so he finally can fight on the same level as Mega Man.
Bass is a standard six-button character with three kicks mapped to the buttons, and three punches mapped the buttons, complete with three attack strengths denoted by the button pressed. Pressing Ⓩ and either or activates a grab, with the input affecting the direction Bass throws the opponent if it connects. Crouching Ⓩ can be cancelled into a Super Jump on contact by pressing , though he overshoots significantly and ends up much higher than the opponent, negatively impacting his ability to perform a full aerial rave.
Bass uses a gameplay system based on Marvel vs. Capcom 2, taking inspiration primarily from Mega Man's appearance in said game, enabling him to chain his Normals from light to medium to heavy, as well as punches to kicks, but not the reverse, though the relatively stubby range of his Normals in conjunction with their high hit velocities prevents him from actually chaining most of them together on the ground; conversely, the lack of horizontal hit velocities on his aerials makes aerial raves incredibly consistent in any proximity.
Unlike Mega Man, Bass does not have Ⓩ as a projectile, instead having it as a Special Move. His Specials consist of a flip kick resembling the Flash Kick, three buster blasts, a bigger blast, and teleportation. His Hypers are firing rapidly, firing a big beam, using the Psycho Crusher and fusing with his dog Treble.
