A Hulk sprite edit with the help of MS Paint, this version has limited Normals and Comboability, but he has plenty of unnecessary hitboxes. Some sprites lack the spider on the chest, and others show the belt buckle of the original sprite.

Gameplay[]

AdrianSpiderHulkIdle

Spider-Hulk uses six buttons, like in Marvel Vs. Capcom. A lot of the Normals use similar sprites, like all three kicks use the same animation, but they are set apart from each other with different speed, damage, and in some cases hitboxes. He has a Push Block and a Super Jump, as well as a KOF style Run. A lot of the Normals miss close up, like the crouching punches. He has a launcher for air combos, crouching Y, but his Super Jump can't be cancelled out of it, making air combos impossible. The only upside to using the launcher is that it's unblockable except for Air Blocks.

The character doesn't have much comboability. He can combo his X into his Y, but by the time the character gets to the radically shorter ranged Z, he will whiff and leave himself open. Stopping at Y will leave the character open by -6 frames, so chaining X -> Y is ultimately problematic. He can combo all three kicks into each other, but can do more damage by chaining four or five Bs in a row. He can chain multiple As as well, but the A misses close up, does less damage and has to be tapped faster. As for chaining the Normals into the Specials, all of the Specials are too slow for chains to be possible. He can get a string of hits by pressing the crouching A and crouching B repeatedly.

The A.I. is weak. It mostly plays keepaway by jumping through the air (and then Super Jumping in midair, which is impossible for the player to do) to the other side of the screen where its opponent can't hit it. Sometimes when the opponent gets close, it uses a Charging Spider Up to hit the opponent and escape to the other side of the screen. When it does try to fight the opponent, it gets up as close as it can get and uses its Normals, usually the ones that miss close up. It rarely uses its Hypers, even when it has 3000 Power.
