Komachi Onozuka is a shinigami from Touhou Project. She first appeared in Phantasmagoria of Flower View as Eiki Shiki, Yamaxanadu's subordinate and a playable character.
Komachi is widely known in Gensokyo for slacking off on her job, as her pace of working is slow. She's a rather carefree individual and enjoys talking to people, including the spirits that she ferries across the Sanzu river (even though most of them are unable to respond or talk back to her). During the events of Phantasmagoria of Flower View, the "flower incident" that occurs every 60 years as a result of a massive number of spirits of the deceased from the outside world migrating into Gensokyo (the last such incident occured in 1945, presumably during the end of World War II), Komachi felt no urgency of the situation and kept going at her own pace. As a result of this, this caused the numerous spirits to possess nearby flowers in Gensokyo as they wait for Komachi to ferry them across so that they may be judged by Eiki. As the number of possessed flowers began to dramatically increase, so did the attention from the many residents of Gensokyo towards the incident.
In M.U.G.E.N, she has been made by various authors including Mikage, En, Dobio, and RicePigeon.

With her large scythe in tow, what Komachi lacks in speed, she more than makes up for in power and range. Knowing how to control space with her scythe is key, as she has access to many great normals to compliment her array of zoning projectiles, including locking the opponent in position and slowing down their advance. When all else fails, this sluggish shinigami can always teleport to reposition herself.
