Liu Kang was a Shaolin Monk who wasinitially chosen by the Shaolin to defeat Shang Tsung and bring the tournament back to Shaolin's hands. As he returned, he found his fellow Shaolin had been brutally murdered by Shao Kahn's forces, so he went to Outworld with his friend Kung Lao to seek revenge.
In M.U.G.E.N, Liu Kang has been made by various creators.
OMEGAPSYCHO's version[]
The hero of Earthrealm charges into battle equipped with Mortal Kombat 1 sprites and gameplay.
Shazzo's version[]
While it looks as if it is a sprite edit of Fei Long, it plays nothing like said character. In fact, this version of Liu Kang is yet another spriteswap of Actarus' Axel Stone. Liu plays differently than its base, and also does not have any fatalities at all.
