Like Reu's other character Evil Ryu, Evil Ken has a playstyle based off a number of Capcom's fighting games, and dons a notoriously difficult A.I.

Evil Ken is a six-buttoned character, following the traditional button layout of light-to-heavy attacks. Although his sprites come from Street Fighter Alpha 3, Evil Ken's playstyle combines elements of Capcom vs. SNK, Marvel vs. Capcom, along with a number of other games.

Evil Ken is a fairly easy character to play, as he is notably advantageous to button mashers. His specials and hypers can all be comboed together very easily, and his range of recovery and counter attacks make him difficult to catch off-guard. Moreover, both his Hadouken and counter attacks can both be used to engage the opponent and to prevent being cornered. The Start button can be pressed to increase Evil Ken's defense.

It can be said that Evil Ken's A.I. is brutal. The A.I. is able to effectively combo Evil Ken's Special and Hypers, and can engage the opponent.
