Origin

Pokémon

Entei is a Fire-type Pokémon from the Pokémon series. It is a legendary Pokémon native to the Johto region, and is part of the Legendary Beasts along with Raikou and Suicune. It appears at #244 in both the Johto and National Pokédex.

Entei was originally one of three Pokémon, along with Raikou and Suicune, who perished to its death when the Burned Tower (then known as the Brass Tower) mysteriously burned down 150 years ago. After the fire was extinguished, the three Pokémon were resurrected by the legendary Pokémon Ho-oh into their current forms. It is said that Entei's barks are powerful enough to cause volcanoes to erupt. It races across the land in an effort to exhaust its unrestrained power.

In M.U.G.E.N, Entei has been made by Otto under the name "Yuiitusin". Another Entei has been created by RicePigeon as an April Fools joke character.

Woof RPidle

A reference to the behavior of various roaming legendary Pokémon in the games, Entei doesn't actually attack, instead fleeing or using Roar to blow the opponent away. In either case, the opponent wins. Attempting to use debug keys to K.O. Entei or the opponent will cause Entei to indefinitely pause the game, making it virtually impossible to win by using Entei under normal circumstances.
