It has no Specials or Hypers. Can't block, can't attack in air, or while crouching. This dog is extremely bare bones with a sprite count just as small as its moveset. This is especially evident in its knocked down sprite; it's just the standing sprite flipped upside down.
|Dog (Duck Hunt Dog)|
This version of Duck Hunt Dog's gameplay uses five buttons, , , , and . The button is not used. Each button fires a random duck. Green and black Duck moves slow, the black and red duck moves fast, and the purple and blue duck moves somewhere in between. All of the buttons have the same chance to fire one of the ducks; there is no difference between the buttons pressed.
It has a lot of disadvantages, such as the inability to block, a lack of crouching attacks, and a lack of air attacks. The crouch is just the standing sprite positioned lower, making it hard to duck under any attacks. To make up for its inability to attack in midair, it can jump a near infinite amount of times, specifically 999999 times. It has no Hypers or Specials; in fact, it only has 1 Power. It can run like a character from KOF or Kung Fu Man where as long as the player holds down forward, it will continue to run. It also sports a Backdash.
The hitboxes are horribly unoptimized, using multiple blue hitboxes to cover the dog's stance. AutoCLSN may have had a hand in the creation of this char, as the hitboxes move sporadically during its walk cycle. The ducks's red boxes flash in an odd pattern, causing them to hit their target multiple times. For a few frames during its jump, it has no blue hitboxes.
Dod doesn't have a custom A.I., so it uses the default one that comes with the engine. It can still do a lot of damage with the ducks though, if one were to take it too lightly.
