Origin

Original

Dragon Claw is a completely original character from the late Reuben Kee, the creator of Evil Ryu and Evil Ken. The sprites were rendered in 3-D Studio Max with various filters to reduce the number of colors.

According to his trailer, Dragon Claw was summoned by the gods to combat great evil that ruled the lands long ago. When he fought against the evil ones, he was "uncontested in the land".

Dragon Claw's most familiar trait is the fact that almost every single move he makes can be followed up by something else, and his AI takes advantage of this at every possible opportunity. He seems to use pre-determined sequences of attacks, with little variation between them. If Dragon Claw gains a large enough advantage over the opponent, he will enter a "Pity Mode", literally offering them a free hit before resuming his normal attack routine.
