Origin

Pokémon

Diglett is a Ground-type Pokémon from the Pokémon series. It evolves into Dugtrio, and has a Regional Variant in the Alola region known as Alolan Diglett. It appears at #050 in both Kanto and National Pokédexes.

Diglett have never been seen completely above ground, making Diglett one of the many mysteries of the Pokémon world, although, in certain media it is said that they have feet. Despite not having any visible limbs, Diglett can use slashing-type moves like Scratch, however, it could be due to the sharp rocks that surround them. Diglett that are native to the Alola region have developed metal whiskers on the top of their heads as a result of living in volcanic environments. These whiskers act as antennae, which not only allows Alolan Diglett to scan for volcanic activity without exposing their entire bodies above ground, but also to communicate with other Alolan Diglett.

In M.U.G.E.N, Diglett has been created by various creators, all of which are based on its original Kantonian Form.

AJ Bellosillo's version[]

AJDiglettIdle

AJ Bellosillo's Diglett, referred to as "Diglet", is a three button character, using A, B, or C for its attacks.

Diglet appears to be good in zoning, as its moves tend to have a long range. A and B are attacks, while C works as a roll and will only work when Diglet is moving. A involves throwing a rock, while B involves using some kind of tremor. It's crouching attacks involve popping up with limited range (A) and tripping the opponent (B).

Unfortunately, Diglet appears to have some flaws. For one, it can't jump, although this is justified by its appearance of being submerged in the ground. When ducking, Diglet has little-to-no hitboxes, making it almost unhittable with most attacks during this state. However, most attacks such as Move's hitboxes cover the entire screen simultaneously attacks can hit Diglet without problem.

As with most old characters made for the engine, Diglet has no custom A.I., making use of the A.I. provided by the engine. Despite its abundance of long-ranged attacks, it can still be pretty easy to beat, mainly due to the character's inability to jump.
