Dawn is a 10-year-old Pokémon Trainer and coordinator who travels with Ash and Brock and replaces May during Pokémon: Diamond & Pearl, and is also the female player character in the Sinnoh Pokémon games.
Following in her mother's footsteps as a coordinator, Dawn chooses a Piplup, which she had already befriended at an earlier point, and sets out with the goal of winning the Grand Festival. As a native of Sinnoh, she often explains certain aspects of the region unfamiliar to both Ash and Brock, and keeps up to date with popular trends like the Pokétch. At the end of the Gen IV anime series, the protagonists go their separate ways, with Dawn deciding to travel to Hoenn to take part in the contests there.
In M.U.G.E.N, Dawn has been created by Cyberlizard. It is a spriteswap of Tokathiki's May.
