For those familiar to Stig's creations probably already know how it feels and plays like for the most part, but Ginyu does sport some pretty unique surprises within its moveset that will make sure to keep your interest with the character.
Ginyu is a six-button character, although not all the buttons are used for attacking. Pressing both the Ⓧ or Ⓐ button or just the Ⓩ button can give Ginyu access to a teleport move, called the High-Speed Dodge. Ginyu can also Power Charge, named the Energy Charge, activated by holding down the Ⓨ and Ⓑ buttons, or the Ⓒ button. The Ⓒ button can be used for the teleport move once the Power gauge is full.
Like most of Stig87's characters, Ginyu is capable of pulling off some small but decent combos, perhaps a little too well. Ginyu has various technical problems regarding its attacks. A simple combo infinite can be exploited by repeating both Ⓨ and Ⓨ. On the flip side, its sliding kick (performed by doing Ⓐ) doesn't seem to be able to connect with anything.
Ginyu was made to be like CHOUJIN's characters, and replicates it well for the most part. Its moveset has a decent amount of unique abilities, the most notable being its Body Switch Hyper, allowing Ginyu to momentarily switch bodies with Stig87's other characters, as well as most of them made by either CHOUJIN or Miaoyu. When the bodies are switched, the opponent's character (who is actually Ginyu) activates one of its Hyper moves, attacking Ginyu (who is the opponent). If blocked, the Body Change Hyper will turn Ginyu into a defenseless frog, although it is still capable of attacking. Later or non-MugenDream characters only switch Life and Power.
Also included for Ginyu is an aggressive A.I. for it as well. The character will either fire projectiles from afar to keep its distance with another character, or just go straight for the opponent if close enough. The character will constantly use it's Groundhog Day Hyper when it has enough Power, which can be very tricky to avoid, and can result in a huge Life loss.
