|Capcom Universe: Nexus of Heroes|
Capcom Universe: Nexus of Heroes is a M.U.G.E.N project being made by Beximus. All of the in-game character names are their Japanese counterparts (Rockman instead of Mega Man, for example). The game is based visually on the classic CPS2 crossover fighting games, having original effects for Hyper backgrounds and some references from Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter.
Capcom Universe uses the standard six-button system, but with the addition of an Assist button (). The gameplay itself is a mix of the classic system (Advancing Guard, Variable Combinations and Counters) with some new mechanics from more recent crossover games:
- Baroque from Tatsunoko vs. Capcom, which is activated by pressing +. It features some differences from the TvC version, like using a extra dash if is pressed during the pause, extra jump height if is pressed, faster fall speed if is pressed after a super or regular jump, and stopping a dash immediately by pressing during a dash baroque cancel.
- Variable Air Raid from Tatsunoko vs. Capcom and Marvel vs. Capcom 3), which is activated by pressing during a Aerial Rave / Air Combo and uses 1 Level of the Hyper Combo Gauge.
- Snapbacks, which can be activated by performing and use 1 Level of the Hyper Combo Gauge.
Capcom Universe also features an Assist Select Screen, which allows the player to choose their assist types with a animated example of what attacks they can use; it is also possible to change a character's "style mode", with the example of changing Sakura to Hiyakeshita Sakura or Morrigan to Lilith without using Hyper Combo Gauges at the start.
