Dragon Ball Z |
Broly is a Saiyan who makes his debut in the movie Dragon Ball Z: Broly - The Legendary Super Saiyan and later appears in the sequel Broly: Second Coming, additionally a clone of Broly appears in Bio-Broly. Like most Saiyans in the franchise, Broly's name is an allusion to a vegetable, in this case it is an allusion to the broccoli vegetable which is even referenced in the English dub of the movie when a drunken Master Roshi refers to him as "Broccoli" by accident but later corrected by Oolong. Out of all the movie-exclusive characters, Broly is one of the most popular villains due to his brutality and his near unstoppable nature and because of this he is one of the few DBZ characters besides Goku or Vegeta and also one of the few movie characters to have multiple versions exist.
In M.U.G.E.N, Broly has been made by various creators.
Necromancer's version
One of the most famous versions and possibly one of the first. Broly has a slow walk cycle, but has an alarmingly fast dash and hits with hard, consecutive moves and brutal A.I. Time after time, Broly will often pause the fight to taunt the player depending on their state while fighting him. He also has super armor when doing his special moves. Contrary to the A.I. which relentlessly locks down players with absurdly damaging combos, this Broly is surprisingly hard to play as and string together combos efficiently, though it shouldn't be a problem since his armor states make it relatively easy to defeat most other characters. This version would later be modified by gulthor into the famous and infamous Nightmare SSJ3.

Limiter Cut version
This Broly is infamous for being one of the cheapest versions available, possibly even surpassing Nightmare SSJ3. When palettes 1-10 are active, he can be KOed like any other opponent but is still a force to be reckoned with, but in his 11th palette, his stats become insanely high, to the point that 4 standard attacks can KO most fighters, his 12th palette takes it a step further with the transformation to Legendary Super Saiyan 5, an AF exclusive form that previously only appeared in one of his special moves, in this palette, he becomes essentially immortal and his stats are raised incredibly high and due to certain lines of code he can actually make Chuck Norris fall off-screen, technically beating him, his A.I. like most Broly characters is aggressive.
