BrokenMUGEN is a M.U.G.E.N motif that was made by two4teezee on June 15, 2007 for the WinMUGEN engine and then later ported to M.U.G.E.N 1.0 in collaboration with Saikoro; the 1.0 version of the screenpack has subsequently seen an unofficial port to M.U.G.E.N 1.1 courtesy of OldGamer and a modification by Juaniquillo that increases the roster size to 9080 slots.
The original WinMUGEN version of BrokenMUGEN became highly popular within the M.U.G.E.N community around its release, being present in many videos and was often favoured over EvE Battle. By default, the screenpack houses seven rows and forty columns, resulting in a total of 280 slots.
