This Normal-type Pokémon has custom sprites, reasonable comboability and a varied moveset, despite its three-button limitation. The majority of its moveset is inspired by the moves Audino can learn in the Pokémon games.
Tabunne is an overall well-made character, with smooth animations, high quality sprites, and balanced Attack power; it makes use of animated Explods of (presumably) its Trainer during the startup of its Hyper Attacks. Just like in the Pokémon games, Tabunne has higher Life and Defence stats than the average character, but a lower Attack stat.
At the start of the first round, the player is able to select one of nine different options. These options alter variables within the character that are tied to its moveset and stats, but it is not known which option does what.
Tabunne uses Ⓧ, Ⓨ and Ⓩ for its attacks, so while its overall moveset is limited, it is still able to pull off some big combos. Rather than using the conventional two-button activation for its EX Specials, they're instead activated by performing the motion and pressing just Ⓩ, though they still use 500 Power.
