The second ever The King of Fighters 2003 conversion, released after the same creator's attempt at Malin from the same game. The very first version of Ash seems to deviate from the source more than intended, containing a launcher that can't really be chained into, no charge motions or Command Normals, and a very unbalanced combo system.
Ash is based very loosely on The King of Fighters 2003. It doesn't use the system from said game, instead going for another route, given its date of release. The character isn't even The King of Fighters style, if the absence of a dodge is any indication. Ash also has a launcher, but no super jump, making air combos impossible.
This version even plays different from most versions of Ash, opting not to use charge commands. Ash lacks Command Normals, as well as all Hypers except for Thermidor.
Ash's combo system, while free of infinites, is rather unbalanced. Its Light Attacks have the ability to chain out of its Heavy ones. This boils Ash's gameplay down to button mashing, making it almost too easy to play as. Likewise, its Specials can combo into these moves as well.
There seems to be custom A.I coding, but Ash seems to behave similar to characters that use M.U.G.E.N's default A.I. It jumps around, Attacks, and is even capable of accidentally putting together a combo. Either way, Ash won't provide a substantial challenge.
Hovering the mouse cursor over the Command Input icons will display text that refers to the inputs set in M.U.G.E.N's Key Config.
Icons encased in square brackets [ ] require the respective button(s) to be held down. Hovering the mouse cursor over the gap displays the hold duration if applicable.
