Origin

Pokémon

Durant is a Bug/Steel-type Pokémon from the Pokémon series. It doesn't evolve from or into any other Pokémon, and appears at #194 in the Unova Pokédex and #632 in the National Pokédex.

Durant live in rocky, mountainous areas with soft enough ground to burrow. It is ironic that these habitat conditions are also suitable for Heatmor - predators that hunt down Durant. Despite being coated in durable steel armour, Durant are actually very agile, allowing them to outrun any Heatmor that chase them.

In M.U.G.E.N, a Durant character under the name of 'Aiant' has been made by Z.A.I.

Gameplay[]

Durant

Although he has plenty of attacks, this character is, sadly, an A.I. only M.U.G.E.N Character, so technically it has no gameplay. It is a particularly small and incredibly challenging opponent, however his hit-boxes are suspiciously tall, which suggests that Aiant might be a spriteswap of something, though, this has not been confirmed yet, as it could just be to allow characters to hit it due to its small size.

There is a downloadable A.I. patch that allows the player to control it. Durant is a four-button character with four moves and one hyper. The four moves are Stone Edge, Dig, Metal Claw, and what appears to be Extremespeed. Durant's Hyper, Hone Claws, is what makes it a very powerful character; once 1000 Power is detected in the power bar, Durant will automatically use it the second it gets the chance, even when Durant is controlled by the player. Durant can only use it three times per round. The Power, Speed, and range of the attacks increase with every use of Hone Claws. By the time Durant's moves are fully powered up, it's moves are overpowered and can almost One-hit-KO any normal fighter.  If this isn't enough to make Durant a very cheap character, then the fact that it's power bar is always slowly refilling by itself even when Durant isn't doing anything will.

All of this gives Durant the ability to demolish brutal A.I. characters, boss characters, and in some cases even cheap characters in a short amount of time.
